What now?

A lot of well-wishers (and critics) have asked me, "So what's next?" "What are you doing now?" Now that I have finished Shaun and Robin's wedding, I currently have no new events on my plate. So I've tied up loose ends for my logo and business card, I will be working on a sweet, professional web site, and taking another look at my business plan. I like to take a look at it every so often and revise it based on what I've accomplished so far. I like to be reminded of my goals, how far I've come, and what I am still driven to conquer.

This Thursday, I have a coffee date with a new potential client. Wish me luck! I'll let you know how it goes.

I've officially set a standard for my pricing. This has been something that I have agonized over for quite some time now. I know my work and what it's worth, but I have been too afraid to charge what I know I deserve. A variety of excuses come to mind of why I have sold myself short, but it all comes to an end now. It's a very exciting thing for me, so I'll just give myself a little pat on the back now. : ) Good girl.

I just want to end this post with saying thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far. I have enough critics to keep me grounded so it's always nice to have someone say, "I believe in you and what you do is very cool." Thank you friends!

Robin and Shaun's Reception

Better late than never! Since I never got around to posting the reception pictures, here they are. I'm really showing how sorry my photography skills are. But in all fairness, I was too busy to be worrying about pictures!!

The tables were set with white linens and black overlays. The centerpieces were beta fish! I ended up with 5 beta fish bowls at my house before I got rid of them!

This is a shot of the back yard of the mansion where the majority of the action was.

Quite honestly and regretfully, I cannot tell you who baked and decorated this adorable cake. It was driven in from Goldsboro and it was one aspect of the planning I was not involved in. But it's super cute huh? The bridesmaids used their bouquets to decorate the table.

The bar. Their favors are the little black koozies on the end of the table. They had their names and date printed on them in teal, and had a little stick hula guy and girl on the back. Thanks to Atlantic Quest Catering we had delicious food and an awesome staff.

Do you remember me posting about finding a glass votive container that would pass the site's regulations? Well here it is! If you can see, it's pretty much a short flower vase with a rippled mouth. They were only .68 each at Old Time Pottery!

Once again, sorry for the limited details and really bad pictures! I'll get better. As soon as I get the good stuff from the photographer, I'll share!!

Hackmann/Lieb

It hardly feels like six months, but that's how long I've been working with the Hackmann family. This past weekend, Robin and Shaun finally said their vows with their toes in the sand, and it was fabulous. It was really great to see all of our hard work come together in such a smooth way. I couldn't help but feel a little proud as she stepped out of the limo and down the aisle.

I apologize for not having professional pictures to show you all the details! What I do have are just a few shots of the ceremony set-up.

I really enjoyed this event and I got to meet a lot of sweet vendors that I hadn't worked with before.

The ladies at Island Florals by Roxanne were awesome. They designed and put together all of the flowers for us. Roxanne was always super nice and put up with us all the times we changed our minds!

The ceremony was at access 43 on Wrightsville Beach.

Next post, I'll try to post some of the reception shots. It was pretty dark, so those pics area lot  worse than these, but I want to give you some kind of idea!
