Simplify Your Life

I have recently come to a point in my life at which I have severely overextended myself. Everyone goes through these periods. I feel very worn out, unorganized, and never good enough. After much prayer, I came to realize that my life needed a little spring cleaning.

I deleted my personal Myspace and Facebook accounts, cut the number of blogs I subscribe to in half, and stopped reading TMZ. And that's just my internet activities!

I have cut a lot of unnecessary things out of my life and re-organized the rest. Although I am still working on it, I already feel a bit lighter. I have more time to read and I feel much better about my work. My goal is to become a better friend, roommate, girlfriend, and wedding planner by dividing my time more wisely.

So why am I telling you this? Well first of all, I want you to know that I will only be posting about once a week. Therefore, you will hear from me less, but hopefully my posts will have more substance.

Secondly, I'd like to challenge you. If you read this blog, consider yourself challenged. Sincerely consider it! How much joy do you have in your life? Do you feel overcommitted? Do you have a problem saying no? Take some time to ponder all of the things that compete for your time. Is there anything that you can simplify? For example, the blogs you subscribe to. Are there any that just don't inspire you anymore? If you feel like I do, and you choose to take the challenge, let me know how you're doing!
